Evergreen Cultural Centre
Set in Town Centre Park overlooking Lafarge Lake, the Evergreen Cultural Centre serves as a primary gathering place for performing and visual arts in Coquitlam. Opened in October 1996, the building was designed by a team headed by Thom Weeks of Architectura with the contract completed by Proscenium Architecture, and it is owned by the City of Coquitlam while operated by the nonprofit Evergreen Cultural Centre Society. Inside, visitors and locals find a 257-seat black box theatre with versatile seating arrangements, a fully equipped rehearsal hall, four art studios, and a 1,500-square-foot art gallery. The venue hosts live theatre, comedy, musical concerts, family activities, visual arts workshops, and gallery programmes, and it functions as the home theatre of the Stage 43 Theatrical Society, alongside hosting the Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the Coastal Sound Music Academy.
Eleanor Ward Bridge
The Eleanor Ward Bridge is a major four-lane road link spanning 127 metres across the Coquitlam River. Opening on August 26, 2006, as part of the twenty-five million dollar David Avenue Connector project, it connects the Coquitlam Town Centre area with Burke Mountain in northeast Coquitlam. At the time of its construction, the initiative stood as the largest infrastructure project ever undertaken by the City of Coquitlam, incorporating a smaller bridge over Hyde Creek, two kilometres of new road, bicycle lanes, a sidewalk, a mixed use path, new traffic signals, and improved street lighting.
Red Robinson Show Theatre
Located beside the Great Canadian Casino Vancouver, the Red Robinson Show Theatre is a 1,074-seat live event venue that opened in 2006 with a performance by Little Richard. Named in honor of local radio legend Red Robinson, the venue has welcomed an impressive array of performers and productions over the years. Its name has evolved through sponsorships and property rebrandings, briefly operating as The Theatre at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver and later as the Molson Canadian Theatre starting in 2016, before returning to its original title during a late 2023 rebranding alongside the casino.
