Uldum Mølle

In the village of Uldum stands a traditional windmill that has been preserved as a museum piece. Its wooden structure and turning sails give a glimpse of the region’s agricultural past.

Danmarks Ferguson Museum

Located in Stourup, southeast of Horsens, this private technical museum houses what is described as the world’s largest collection of Massey Ferguson tractors and implements. The exhibition spans from a 1939 Ferguson machine to 1970s models, and includes the 1919 Ford T as the oldest item. Specialist tractors for vineyards, plantations, industry and military use are on display, alongside a copy of the vehicle Edmund Hillary used to reach the South Pole in 1958. Additional objects range from a 1943 military ambulance and a Russian‑built BMW motorcycle to Ferguson buses, bicycles, mopeds, steamrollers, diesel rollers and trucks from the former Danish Road and Bridge Museum in Holbæk.

Glud Museum

This open‑air museum presents rural life on the Juelsminde Peninsula over three centuries. Fourteen buildings, mostly half‑timbered houses from the surrounding area, are furnished with household objects that illustrate daily living from the mid‑1600s to the mid‑1900s. During the summer months the museum runs working workshops where visitors can watch blacksmithing, weaving, wood carving, bobbin lace making, knitting and other handicrafts. Glud Museum is open from Easter through October, with extended opening hours leading up to Christmas.

Hjortsvang Museum

Situated in the village of Hjortsvang, four kilometres north of Tørring within Hedensted Municipality, this local museum offers a chance to explore the history of the area at a community level.

Barritskov

A historic manor estate whose origins reach back to the thirteenth century, Barritskov combines an early twentieth‑century main building with the remnants of an earlier farm. The estate was recorded in 1261 as belonging to Niels, the founder of the Greyfriars monastery in Horsens. The main building, erected between 1914 and 1916 under architect Gotfred Tvede, reuses original beams and monk bricks from the earlier north wing. In the surrounding park the ruins of the farm demolished in 1913 are still visible.

Jensgård

This old farm and manor house in Hedensted Municipality traces its history to the Middle Ages. Originally owned by Øm Abbey until the Reformation, the property was first mentioned around 1300 as Inæs, later appearing as Ensgard (1477), Ensgaard (1546) and Jensgaard from 1664. The present main building dates to 1753 and the estate covers 306 hectares, lying in Glud Parish about ten kilometres north of Juelsminde.

Palsgård

Located just north of Juelsminde near the base of As Hoved, Palsgård is a historic manor estate situated east of Hosby in the parish of As, within Hedensted Municipality.

Rohden

Rohden is a Danish estate whose story stretches back more than three centuries. In 1662 two half‑farms on the hill belonged to Rosenvold Estate; they were not united into a single estate until 1869, so Rohden never held the status of a principal manor. The current main building, constructed between 1898 and 1900 in a palatial style, was designed by Ulrik Plesner for Baron Flemming Lerche and his wife Anne Sophie Lüttichau.

Rosenvold

This manor house stands on the north side of Vejle Fjord, about four kilometres southeast of Stouby in Hedensted Municipality. The estate covers 795 hectares. The main building was erected in 1585 by Karen Gyldenstierne; its stair tower was removed in 1817 and the building was remodelled in 1865 by Johan Henrik Nebelong. Local tradition holds that the site occupies the location of an earlier fortress called Staksevold, which was destroyed before the present house was built.

Ørumgård

Just south of Ørum, Ørumgård is a quiet manor estate with roots reaching back many centuries. First mentioned in 1458 as an old seat farm, it lies in Ørum Parish, Bjerre Herred. The main building was constructed in 1855 and later rebuilt between 1868 and 1870; today the estate encompasses 342 hectares.

Skerrildgård

Near Hornsyld, Skerrildgård is a historic manor house first recorded as early as 1509. The present main building was raised in 1766 by Anders Møller and the estate covers roughly 200 hectares, belonging to Nebsager Parish in the former Bjerre Herred.

Williamsborg

This classic Danish manor house sits on the eastern edge of Daugård, right beside the local church. The estate began in 1655 under the name Bryskesborg and adopted the name Williamsborg in 1775. The main building you see today was completed in 1774, designed by Anders Møller, and is now a protected heritage structure.

Løsning Church

A relatively recent place of worship, Løsning Church dates from 2008 and serves the community in Hedensted Municipality.

Møgelkær Kirke

This church building is located in Hedensted Municipality, Denmark, and offers a quiet spot for reflection amid the surrounding countryside.

Bjerre Mølle

About eight kilometres south of Horsens, Bjerre Mølle is an octagonal Dutch‑style windmill with an onion‑shaped cap. Built as a grain mill in 1860, it operated until 1955. The Bjerre Mølle Foundation restored it between 1974 and 1976, preserving some of the original milling equipment inside. It is noted as the only windmill in Denmark with a brick‑hung exterior; each of its two sails measures 13.5 metres. One sail broke due to rot in October 2009, and both were renewed in 2010.
