Klai Kangwon Palace is a royal residence in Hua Hin whose name means “far from worry.” It is a designated royal precinct cared for by the Bureau of the Royal Household, and it was used as a private residence during royal stays outside Bangkok.

King Prajadhipok, also known as Rama VII, commissioned the palace in 1926. Construction was completed in 1933. The residence later became the primary summer royal residence of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, or Rama IX.

The palace’s main residential buildings are named Piam Suk, Pluk Kasem, Oep Prem and Em Pridi. Together, they form the central residences of Klai Kangwon Palace and reflect the site’s importance in Hua Hin’s royal history.
