Cave of Saint Ignatius

The sanctuary grew around the natural cave where Ignatius of Loyola prayed and wrote his Spiritual Exercises during his ten‑month stay from March 1522 to February 1523. The site now incorporates the original cave, a seventeenth‑century Baroque church and a nineteenth‑century Neoclassical building, attracting pilgrims and visitors interested in European religious history.

Cinematògraf Principal

Opened on 29 August 1903 as Manresa’s first permanent cinema, this venue on Passeig Pere III also housed theatre performances, a café and a function room. Its early owner, Baltasar Abadal Vallès, introduced Gaumont‑type film exhibitions to the city.

Convent de Santa Clara

Set above the Cardener River in the Escodines district, this former convent features a late Romanesque church, likely dating from the end of the thirteenth or beginning of the fourteenth century. Its portal shows the transition from Romanesque to Gothic forms.
